Theresa's desire to consecrate her life to God increased. She had a strong feeling that God wanted her in religious life. What would she tell Papa? She prayed for courage to be able to speak to him about her desire. One beautiful Pentecost day as Papa took a walk in the garden Theresa slowly expressed her desire. Then both were having a good time, Theresa slowly expressed her desire. It was not easy for Papa to accept. Theresa was his last little daughter and the queen of his heart. It was so painful. Knowing it to be God's will however, he allowed her to go. He likened Theresa to a flower uprooted from the world's garden and planted in the garden of the Lord. In fact he picked a flower and gave it to Theresa kept this precious gift and symbol throughout her entire life.
