Among the many difficulties parents ecounter today, despite different social contexts, one certainly stands out; giving children an adequate preparation for adult life, particularly with regard to education in the true meaning of sexuality. There are many reason for this difficulty and not all of them are new. In the past, even when the family did not provide specific sexual education, the general culture was permeated by respect for fundamental values and hence served to protect and maintain them.
