St John Paul II canonised Faustina on 30th April, 2000, in the presence of thousands of people who had flocked to Rome from all over the world to witness this historical event. During his homily, the pope remarked that Faustina was a great apostle of the 20th century. From the time she was a little girl, the Lord bestowed upon her many privileges, as she records in her Diary, Divine Mercy in my Soul, which was written at the request of Jesus and her confessor. As she grew older, these messages and revelations slowly matured. One day Jesus communicated to her his great desire that she would be his special instrument in communicating his message in telling the whole world about his great mercy. This booklet looks primarily at Faustina's simple life and virtues since there is so much to learn from them. After all, she became a saint, not because of her visions but by doing ordinary things in an extraordinary way and accepting the will of God, no matter how painful it was. A book for everyone, young and old, Catholics and non-Catholics.
