This book offers the proceedings of the seminar organized by the Institute of Social Ministry (ISM) and SOMIRENEC that took place in February 2006. The three-day seminar brought together missionaries and other pastoral agents directly involved in ministry to the pastoralists, as well as students. The evangelization among the Pastoralists present a great challenge to the Church of Kenya, demanding initiative for conflict resolution and peace building. The presentation methodology of the book follows the Pastoral Cycle that is: experiences, social and cultural analyses, theological reflections, communities and the way forward (action). Particularly appreciate were the contributions of the pastoralists present in the Institute of Social Ministry, Turkana, Samburu, Maasai. A must for all those work among the pastoralists, this book can help also students to understand the reality and the challenges of evangelization in Kenya today.
