Francis Cardinal Arinze was assigned the task by Pope Benedict XVI to give six days of reflections to the Pope and the Roman Curia in December 2008. This book contains those six days of meditation and prayer. This book makes good spiritual readings for any Christian. Lay or Religious interested in deepening our Baptismal call to priesthood. Beginning with Christ's call, follow me (Mt 1: 17), Arinze invites the reader to spend the six days with Christ. The red thread that runs through all of the meditations is the image of the priest, who, called by Jesus, meets him, follows him, and seeks each day to become a better disciple. For every human being, for every Christian, and even more for every priest, Jesus Christ gives meaning to life. He gives a sense of Unity to all the things in which we are engaged. Jesus indicates the correct directions for our life because he is the way, the truth, and the life (cf. Jn 14:6)
