This book could be useful to all readers if we realise how little we know about Islam and how necessary it is to journey into Islam. As citizens and friends of this continent, we share many ideas and dreams; we share our memories and discoveries, problems and challenges, achievements and failures. I believe that we have much more to share with one another for a healthy development of Africa. It is in the spirit of sharing that l write this book to convey to all readers, Christians and Muslims alike, that Christianity and Islam share many themes in Common. I came to know that whoever studies the primary sources of Islam with great interest (Qur'an and Sunna/Hadith) will read marvelous stories about the life and works of Jesus. Unlike in Christianity, I became more and more aware of the rupture, particularly, between the pronouncements of the Qur'an and the daily life of the Muslims where Jesus is concerned. Jesus is well known in the Book of Islam but almost none-existent in their prayers or their devotional activities. So l present the Jesus of Islam to Muslims and Christians for honest appreciation. The whole initiative is done with the assistance of the philosopher/theologian St Thomas Aquinas. I believe that this project can build a culture of working together and foster our Christian-Muslim relations.
