This is a compilation of short articles about Paul, and some extended studies on themes from his letters. The first section, called Glimpses, contains short articles, while the second , called Gazes, contains topics that are treated in depth and that are fully documented. Each article is like a snapshot of Paul. Taken from various angles, together they are meant to give the readers a more or less coherent image of the Apostle and show at least the major contours of his message. The earliest documents in the collection of sacred writings that we now call the New Testament are letters written by Paul in the first century. The articles in this volume are meant to be read in conjunction with the Letters of Paul. There is no substitute for the personal work of wrestling with the text. It is my hope that the readers encounter Paul and his message, more deeply.
