This book gives the norms and guidelines on how to carry out a worthy celebration of the Holy Eucharist.

As we set out to live a true " Liturgical Renewal" as proposed in The various papal documents: Ecclesia de Eucharistia, Mane Nobiscum Domine of John Paul ll and Sacramentum Caritatis of Benedict XVI, fruit of the Synod on the Eucharist, we hope that the availability of the General Instructions of the Roman Missal (GIRM) will now greatly assist all the members of the Church, especially those entrusted with the celebration of the Eucharist, in their inward journey to "draw water from the wells of Salvation" Several of these norms find life in the various papal and magisterial documents, which will certainly be auxiliary guides towards this joyous encounter with the Lord in the breaking of the bread. The participation of the faithful in a well celebrated Liturgy will bring them into loser contact with the Lord Jesus, open their eyes to his Sacred Presence, and open their hearts to his healing graces, feed their spiritual life, and build the Body of Christ that is the Church. Once more they will be able to re-live the Sacrifice of the Calvary, meet the risen Lord, receive a new Pentecost, and the pledge of the heavenly Glory.
