Community life is one of the most important elements of religious life. Its centrality is shown by its many different aspects and the concern shown by the Church, through the Magisterium and in the constitution of the Institutes of Religious Life. For community life to remain vibrant and humanly and spiritually enriching, young religious need to be integrated well into it. This is the duty of formators; to hand it on to them in all its pristine value, if they are to be enriched by it. In this book, the author, himself a formator, presents the biblical foundation of community life and the recent teaching of the Magisterium of the Church on community life. Inspired by Franciscan spirituality, the book shall also quote some relevant passages of the Rule of the Friars Minor and their current General Constitutions as well as preset the theological perspective. To complete the understanding of community life, the human, and the African perspectives are discussed. As a catalyst for community life, the book also offers reflections for the formator.
