It gives me great joy to present to the Christian Commuities of Kenya the challenging witness of Aloys Kamau as we celebrate 100 years of evangelization in the Ecclesiastical Province of Nyeri. Thanks to the presence and selfless dedication of the Consolata Missionaries, the Christian faith has been implanted in the heart of many people who have welcomed with joy the message of Gospel. The seed of the faith sown over the ears has borne much fruit in the way our communities are becoming more involve in evangelizing, taking on their shoulders the responsibility for their own growth. Our people have responded to God's call with great generosity and, thanks to the work of divine grace, many are playing an active role in the building of Christian communities and in the spreading of the faith. Aloys Kamau is an outstanding example of a Christian who gave his life for Christ. Our Church in Kenya is proud to add one of her children to the long list of African saints.
