The Sacrament of Reconciliation is not understood and appreciated as it ought to be, with all its advantages of healing and receiving strength. We are like a sick person who needs to go to the doctor to be healed from one's sickness and yet we refuse to go. Jesus is always there to help and heal us and yet we shy away from him. All we need to do is believe in the healing powers of Jesus found in the sacrament of Reconciliation. As if Jesus is repeating the words he pronounce 2000 years ago in Palestine to the two blind men: "Do you really believe that l am able to do this for you?" (Mt 9;28). All we need to say is: "Yes ,Lord!" (Mt 9:28) as did the two blind men.
