The movie narrates in an emotional way, the life, works and the journey of faith and obedience, suffering and holiness of Padre Pio of Pietralcina, the great mystic of the XX century. Since is childhood, Francis Forgione had visions of Jesus, of the Virgin Mary and also of the devil that appeared to him under different forms. After he had met with Bro. Camilo, in the village of Pietralcina, his greatest desire was to become a priest. He entered the Order of Capucchin Minor Friars and took the name of Pio of Pietralcina. From then on, special gifts started to be manifested in him that science could not explain. His love for the Church and his faith in Jesus and Our Lady, his stigmata and gestures of charity, his help to the needy and the foundation of a hospital 'Help of the suffering" in the south of Italy, are a synthesis of an edifying life and works of Padre Pio, the Saint of Pietralcina.
