This book handles bullying, intimidation, and isolation that Nashpae, the protagonist, encounters in school from some of her classmates. She is at the verge of breaking down completely when Salmayo, her new friend, comes to her rescue. Their friendship flourishes both in school and out of school. Courtesy of the bestfriends’ ability to convince their class teacher of a new found treasure scenery, the whole school goes for an environmental adventure to Sesio Rhino Sanctuary, Sereronkai, a site the two friends visited when Salmayo accompanied Nashpae to Sereronkai, her birth place.
The author aims at enlightening parents and teachers on the bullying and mistreatment that some pupils go through in school and how to curb it. He encourages the spirit of true and genuine friendships among pupils in their early teenage age and shows ways that victims of bulling can deal with their aggressors to avoid being their targets.
