With this context, which is a real moment of grace for Africans, the Church is called to proclaim the message of life and to open "more abundantly the treasures of the Bible" (SC 51) to those who are so eager to receive them. Every Sunday the Lord invites us to his Table and nourishes us with the Lord on Sunday will bear abundant fruit in our life when it is prepared through personal reflection and prayer. In harmony with a long and sound tradition, the Church invites us to use the scriptures, especially the Gospels and Daily Prayers as our "prayer book." This pocket edition of The Gospels and daily Prayers aims at making the Word of God available to everyone so that all Christians may experience how beautiful it is to allow the word of God to dwell abundantly within us. The addition of the Psalms is meant to introduce us to those prayers the Lord himself used and which are a fountain of wisdom, faith and spirituality. This edition of the Gospel and Daily Prayers is enriched by introductions to each book and notes taken from The African Bible. They are meant of to help us understand the meaning of biblical text in the context of todays teaching of the Church,
