Annick is a modern young girl, bright and dynamic. She is a presenter on TV and loves her world of beauty, fashion and success. She lives with her brother Henry who, instead, dedicates himself to the service of the poor and the sick. Annick's life and attitude is completely turned upside down by a young man sick with AIDS who approaches her for help. Besides this, her father is found sick with cancer. Annick finds herself without support, but through the Christian group to which her brother belongs, she learns how to face the emotional pain and fear that come with the suffeing of sickness. She also discovers the value of the sacrament of the sick. As Annick and Henry journey through this experience of sickness and suffering, they discover deep meanings in their social and spiritual lives.
