The first edition of 2000 years of Christianity in Africa reminded us of the astonishing richness of the cultures of Africa, and the profound contribution Christianity has made to the continent from its earliest history. The dawn of the third millennium saw new and critical challenges facing Africa. It also highlighted the enormous potential of the continent. This presented an opportune occasion to produce a second edition of this popular and established history. This second edition of 2000 Years of Christianity in Africa will strengthen our recognition of our shared faith and common humanity as Christians across this vast continent. It will inform believers of other religious and reinforce relations with them. Finally, it will inform believers of other religions and reinforce relations with them. Finally, it will also be of interest to the international community who engage with Africa in order to address its challenges and develop its potential, and will enrich our mutual bonds of solidarity.
